Meet Our Professional Doctors

Dr Vicky Thai

Principal Dentist and owner

Dr Vicky Thai is the Principal Dentist and owner of Parkmore Family Dental, with over ten years of experience in dentistry.

Before she opened the practice in 2017, Dr Vicky had been practising for more than 10 years in private and public practice.  As well as being an experienced and highly qualified dental practitioner, Dr Vicky is multilingual, fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese. She is a member of the ADA. In addition to her work at Parkmore Family Dental, Vicky also practices at The Royal Dental Hospital Primary Care Department and is a Clinical Demonstrator at The University of Melbourne.

Dr Vicky Thai holds a Bachelor of Dental Science from The University of Melbourne having graduated from there in 2006.

Passionate about continuing study, Dr Vicky Thai ensures she is up-to-date with the latest treatments and approaches to dentistry. She is qualified in dental surgery, implant dentistry and Invisalign. Her qualifications include:

  1. Primary Examinations from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons
  2. Australian Society of Implant Dentistry Accreditation course
  3. Invisalign course


Dr Vicky is also currently taking Progressive Orthodontic Seminar courses.

Dr Vicky Thai’s special interests

  1. Periodontics (treatment of gum disease)
  2. Endodontics (root canal treatment)
  3. Cosmetic dentistry

Free time

When she is not at Parkmore Family Dental, Dr Vicky enjoy scuba diving, functional fitness, wining and dining and art appreciation.

Dr Nathalin Thea

Dentist 

Dr Nathalin Thea is a Dentist at Parkmore Family Dental. She recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Before studying dentistry Dr Nathalin obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) also from the University of Melbourne. She can speak English, Teochew and Khmer.

Dr Nathalin enjoys all aspects of general dentistry however has a special interest in Oral surgery and Restorative Dentistry. Patient care is her number one priority so when you come visit her she will try to make your visit as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Being a child at heart, Dr Nathalin enjoys seeing young children and helping ease them into dental treatment which to some can be quite scary at first. In her spare time Dr Nathalin likes running, playing video games and trying to find her new favourite place to eat. Feel free to recommend her your favourite restaurant!

Dr Khoi Tran

Dentist 

Dr Khoi graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with interests in Preventative, Aesthetic, and Oral surgery. In his time in Adelaide, he had extensive training in both Community and Rural Dental settings.

He is fluent in written and spoken Vietnamese. Brought up in a migrant family in Keysborough, he is very familiar with the surrounds and the strong sense of family and cultural diversity of the area.

Dr Khoi says: “I am all about doing all I can to make the dental visit a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for my patients. Beyond the clinical rooms, I am a Scout at heart, assisting the local group, as well as partaking in hiking, and camping whenever I can. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing sports and cooking with family and friends.”

Dr Serene Hong

Dentist 

Dr Serene Hong completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry/Master of Dentistry at La Trobe University. Dedicated to delivering quality care, she prioritises patient comfort and fosters positive experiences. Dr Serene is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health and achieving their goals. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interest in restorative and cosmetic work.

Outside of work, she enjoys good food, spending time with family and friends, and reading books. Other than English, she can also speak Mandarin.

Dr Corina Deng

Dentist 

Dr Corina graduated from La Trobe University with a Master of Dentistry. Having worked across regional Victoria including Bendigo, Ballarat and Albury-Wodonga, Corina has returned to Melbourne to serve her local community. She speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

Corina is most passionate about helping people from all walks of life feel confident about their smile and guiding patients throughout their individual journeys. Her goal is to help all her patients achieve this, and believes the first step is just one consult away.

Beyond the dental chair, Corina finds joy in the company of her loved ones. She enjoys playing piano and taking her labrador to the dog park. She has also recently taken up snowboarding as a newfound hobby.
